New vocabulary or text

Any new words or pieces of text will be treated as new and unknown to begin with. After the first time Wozzol will assume that you can remember it for one day. This means that you will be tested on it again the next day. If you get it right then Wozzol will test you on it again after four days. After this you will know it for 7 days. Then for 14. 26, 50 and 95 days. The number of days goes up rapidly because the piece of text or item of vocabulary is now stored in your long-term memory. If you get it wrong then you need to learn it again and you will be expected to know it for one day. You will be tested on it again the following day.

Adaptive

Wozzol adapts itself to you. If you give the correct answers quickly and easily Wozzol will decide that you know the words or text well already and that you are being tested on them too soon. The next time you will be tested on them again a little later. If you take a long time to answer the questions Wozzol will decide that you don’t know the answers very well yet and test you on them a little sooner next time.

Wozzol will also estimate how easy or difficult a word or piece of text is. If you always get it right quickly then it must be easy. If you often get it wrong or can only just remember it, it must be difficult. In which case you will be tested on it again sooner.

Wozzol adapts itself so that you should get slightly less than 10 percent of the words or text wrong. In practice, the percentage is likely to be a little higher with new vocabulary or text, and a little lower with facts that you know well already.

Study regularly

Study every day for a short while. If you study infrequently it will be difficult for you to get the words or text right. This means that will test yourself a little too late. It will also be harder for Wozzol to test you on the correct text or vocabulary at the right time. It will be more difficult for Wozzol to adapt itself to you. Try to adapt yourself to Wozzol by learning regularly for a short period.
